What Matters, NOW?

The inaugural gathering theme

What mattered yesterday may no longer matter today. Our priorities, convictions, ambitions, and understanding of the world evolve as we experience life.

At this pivotal moment in history, personal, and professional transitions intersect with profound cultural, social, and technological repercussions. What once seemed certain may be open to reconsideration. What may have been insignificant could be essential now.

HAI will conduct future gatherings in different locations. Each location brings its own character, cultural history, and perspectives to the question at the heart of the gathering.

What Matters, NOW? explores this shifting landscape of human values, priorities, possibilities, and the discoveries when we reconsider what deserves our attention, individually and collectively.

October 10–13, 2027 | Vence, Côte d’Azur, France | Twelve participants | Four days

What Becomes Possible

A personal challenge may take on an entirely different meaning, revealing possibilities that had previously gone unrecognized.

A professional dilemma may find an unexpected solution through insights drawn from another’s discipline, culture, or lived experience.

A global issue may become more comprehensible when examined through perspectives that challenge established assumptions and reveal concepts beyond conventional thinking.

Participants may leave with greater clarity about a decision, a new direction for their work, a deeper understanding of themselves, others, a particular situation, or an intellectual connection that develops into a lasting relationship or collaboration.

What emerges will be different for each person, reflecting the questions and experiences they bring to the gathering.
